Handlung
Rocksängerin Angel (Helena Bergström) - Angelica Holst - war in den 80er Jahren ein Star. Nun geht ihre Karriere zu Ende. Da hat ihr Ehemann und Bandmitglied Rick (Rolf Lassgård) eine Idee, wie sie wieder ins Geschäft kommen kann. Sie wollen Angel's Selbstmord in Thailand inszenieren. Mit Hilfe der Presse, der es nach Rick's Meinung egal ist, ob sie wahre oder unwahre Stories für ihre Zeitungen schreiben, soll Angel so wieder ins Showgeschäft zurückkehren und ihre Platten sollen dadurch auch wieder reißenden Absatz finden.
Mit dem Film will Colin Nutley darstellen, wie die Presse ständig auf der "Jagd" nach Prominenten ist und alles schreibt, egal ob es wahr ist oder nicht, nur um die Auflagen ihrer Zeitungen zu steigern.
Plot
The Singer Angel (Helena Bergström) - Angelica Holst, was a star in the eighties. It seems that her career comes down now. Her husband and member of her band Rick (Rolf Lassgård) got an idea, how she can come back to the business again. They stage Angel's suicide in Thailand. With assistance by the press, to which it doesn't care of Rick's opinion whether they write true or untrue stories the main thing is to increase the editions of their newspapers, Angel shall return into the show business in that way.
Colin Nutley wants to demonstrate with the film that the yellow press is permanently on the "hunting" after prominent people and writing anything no matter whether it is true or not only to have "a good story" to increase the editions of their newspapers.
